AN MP has met with a Dorset farmer to reaffirm his commitment to tackling livestock worrying.
Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, has been spearheading a campaign over the last 18 months to bring forward specific legislation about the issue.
The campaign to keep dogs on leads around livestock was sparked after Gladis, a four-year-old heavily pregnant Highland cow, fell 40 feet to her death after being chased by two off-lead dogs at the farm, near Askerswell.

Mr Loder met with Gladis' owner, Cameron Farquharson, at the Melplash Show in Dorset on September 3 2023 to discuss the campaign.
The pair previously visited 10 Downing Street to raise the issue.
Mr Loder said: “While the Kept Animals Bill was stopped a few months ago, we’re now looking to bring forward specific legislation to tackle livestock worrying.
"I hope that will start to take place in November, and all being well, we can make Gladis’ Law a reality.”
